So, How Do Non Profits Benefit?

....there was no bailout for the NFP's
Non profits never got the bailout. The companies that got the bailouts, didn't share them. In fact, the companies that need the capital the most may miss out. The genius of the non-profit mindset is being perilously snuffed at the expense of "too big to fail" being "right."
Most of the time, the economy will adjust on its own. Interventions often cause more harm than good. However, in this case, doing something seemed to be the only choice: the right choice, certainly.
I've been around non-profits my whole life and have seen almost every fundraising tactic under the sun. I have never seen, or had the opportunity to create, such an amazing powerplay for fundraising that is a win win win. We've set some massive goals - which you can help us reach! |

It's a Changing World
At 7 am on September 9th, I received a call "Hello Andy, this is Brian, I am the director of a national non-profit. Saw your press release - and I have a question...can this thing run in reverse?" I hadn't had coffee - so I had to ask "what do you mean, in reverse?" Brian was kind enough to clue me in: "Well, we have some, how shall we phrase it, 'donors who aren't performing to normal standards - these are big corporations that have been hit by the economic turmoil - but that hit us as funding that even was promised is drying up. So, my question is - can I take your program to them and ask them to run it for us?" |
|
How Does it Work? So I had to ask - "Brian, do you mean you'd like to walk into board rooms at major companies and ask them to run this program with you as the chosen non-profit for the $25 gift?" His one word "yes" reply brought a smile - as I realized that his request would have much more traction than mine - and that maybe we COULD change the world a great deal.
Why Do They Stand Out? Simply put, this fundraiser is a pay-it-forward, remove multiple issues with one effort and help corporations give to both non-profits and employees, in a down economy, despite layoffs, furloughs and cuts - all without morale losses - in fact, with morale gains. The non-profits gain immeasurable support in a way they weren't going to this year - in fact, more than they could ever have gained on their own.
I knew from all angles, we had to make them turnkey and simple to use. I have created the template letter and Letter of Agreement, both downloadable at the Employee Gift/Charity Page.
I liberally borrowed from Krug's "Don't Make Me Think", Gladwell's "Tipping Point", Ferriss's "4 Hour Work Week" and others to build a model based on both altruism and capitalism - we'll call it the John Mills meets Tom Watson, of IBM, not PGA - approach. I love to give back - but also to help others realize success. This is the way, or at least - a GREAT way!
I know we can help you - will you allow us to try? |
